This is an example of retouching within my role as an artworker at John Lewis. My brief was match the colour of the tv unit to the colour of the chair.
In the second colour matching example, there was a block within the workflow due to the reference product not being available. I took it upon myself to go to the manufacturer website and find the required product and use it as a reference to recolour the product. I used a technique called alpha channel masking to select and recolour the stitching.
My brief was to cut out the subject and place it onto a white background. This was done primarily using the Pen tool in Photoshop and I used a Wacom tablet which was helpful when turning around a high number of images per day. At the time I was also required to add a drop shadow to the images.
In this example I have cut the subject out onto a white background and removed some skin imperfections. I have also removed the undergarment that can be seen initially through the sheer product. This was achieved by using the clone stamp tool.
